Branding Identity
Visual Identity for the 6th International Conference on Typography & Visual Communication in Thessaloniki
THE IDEA
The primary goal was to effectively convey the conference theme, "Discussing Priorities, Developing a Field." To achieve this, I sought to combine the two foundational principles of the event: typography and discussion. I chose the phrase "This is the Alpha and the Omega," which not only signifies the first and last letters of the alphabet but also metaphorically represents the beginning and end of ideas—essentially addressing the concept of priorities.
VISUALISATION
Creative thinkers often prioritize different principles in design, leading to varying interpretations. To reflect this diversity, I employed typography that can be read in multiple ways. For instance, certain letters transform into different characters when rotated: the lowercase "a" becomes the Greek letter Ω (Omega), the letter Σ (Sigma) can be rotated to form "M," and the capital "E" transforms into "m." Each poster and application features questions that encourage viewers to engage and reflect on their own design priorities, prompting them to explore new perspectives.
